Birmingham is one of the most philanthropic cities in the country. The Negro Southern League Museum values its contributors. Their investment in our community enables the museum to educate and foster an appreciation for the historical development of the Negro League, its impact on America’s favorite pastime, and the Civil Rights Movement.

This unique museum celebrates the history of the Birmingham Black Barons and other Negro Leagues’ players in our country, and most importantly, teaches our school children about the significant role black baseball had in the history of Birmingham.
