NSLM Presents Pitch Talk, On A Different Field with Tony Nathan

In honor of Black History Month, the Negro Southern League Museum (NSLM) is taking its popular talk series Pitch Talk from conversations surrounding the pitcher’s mound to the football field! NSLM is set to host former Woodlawn High School, University of Alabama and Miami Dolphins football star Tony Nathan. The former running back will sign copies of his book, “Touchdown Tony: Running With a Purpose” and discuss life on and off the football field.

Pitch Talk, On a Different Field with Tony Nathan is scheduled for Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Negro Southern League Museum. The purpose of this event is to celebrate Black History Month by recognizing our local living legends.

MORE INFORMATION ON TONY CURTIS NATHAN: 

Tony Curtis Nathan is a former American football running back. Nathan played college football at the University of Alabama and was selected in the third round (61st overall) of the 1979 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, with whom he played from 1979 to 1987.

During his sophomore year, Tony Nathan became one of the first black football players at Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama. The story of his high school career was made into a Pure Flix Entertainment film known as “Woodlawn.” It was released on October 16, 2015.
